Panasonic DMR-EZ48VK 1080p Upconverting VHS DVD Recorder With Built In Tuner
Don't let the title mislead you. The unit itself does a wonderful job and works very well. But there are a few small issues that I want to point out.
1 - The remote lacks an eject button. I mean come on, who ever heard of a VCR or DVD player that lacked an eject button? While I admit that you have to go to the unit to insert/remove media anyway, I just find it odd that there wouldn't be an eject button.
2- Most remotes for dvd players have a "menu" button. For the DMR-EZ48VK you have to use the sub-menu then navigate to 'menu'. Again, a fairly standard feature for most players but Panasonic makes it more complicated then it needs to be
3 - Even with the fast start option on, I found that the unit still takes a noticeable amount of time to turn on.
